Matching stairwell balustrade is available as the perfect finishing touch for your Klan spiral staircase kit. The stairwell balustrade set comprises 10 spindles, handrail in soft-grip PVC colour-coordinated to the staircase treads, support bracket, wall fixing bracket and all fixings. This set is suitable for a balustrade length of 1200mm. If you need a shorter length than this, then use less spindles and cut down the handrail. If you need a longer span of balustrading, use two or more kits and they can be joined together. We recommend that you purchase an additional support bracket if you are joining more than 2 kits together. Please note that the gap between the spindles should be less than 100mm to satisfy the UK Building Regulations. The height of the balustrading is 1000mm.
The balustrading can be supplied with a rigid steel core suitable for use on a straight gallery edge (fig 1) or square opening (fig 3). A version of balustrading with an aluminium core is available which can be more easily formed into shape for a circular opening (fig 3). Please order carefully for your project.

Riserbars for Klan Spiral Stair KitRiserbars fit between the treads to create a gap of less than 100mm between the treads for UK Building Regulations. If you are including any additional treads, you will need to purchase an additional riserbar for each extra tread. The riserbars are supplied in one size to be cut down for the smaller diameter spiral staircases as required.

Additional Shorter Centre Pole for non-standard height Klan Spiral StairTo remain within UK Building Regulations, the standard Klan spiral staircase kit will fit floor heights of between 252cm and 286cm. (The standard staircase kit can, in fact, fit a floor height of up to 305cm but this will result in an individual tread rise which is too high for UK Building Regulations.)
If your floor to floor height is below 252cm or above 286cm, you may require to purchase additional shorter centre poles for the staircase to work. Please refer to the Klan Spiral Stair DATASHEET download [pdf file 182KB] for details. Please note that this datasheet does not take UK Building Regulations into account.
